BJP registers thumping victory in Uttar Pradesh MLC polls, wins 33 of 36 seats

After registering a historical second consecutive win to return to power for 18th legislative assembly, the BJP once again marked a thumping victory in legislative council polls and won 33 seats, including nine unopposed out of 36 vacant seats.
