Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad on August 3

Fuel prices have remained stagnant again on August 3 across the country, except in Maharashtra. The Maharashtra government has announced a Value-Added Tax (VAT) cut on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 per litre and Rs 3 per litre, respectively on July 15, 2022. However, for the rest of the cities, petrol and diesel prices were left untouched by OMCs since Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an excise duty cut on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel.
